Justin Bieber Concert in Malaysia.

Justin Bieber concert in Malaysia 2011.

The journey to Stadium Merdeka started off to a light drizzle of rain as I huddled in the backseat with my sister Sarah and our friend Tsara.
I had earphones stuck in my ears with Paramore’s songs blaring loudly as I gaze outside, watching streaks of rain rolling fluidly down the windowpane. The rain started to pick up, and raindrops smeared the glass, giving it a distorted shape. I averted my eyes to my sister Sarah who was playing a gaming app avidly on the iPad, and Tsara who like me, had earphones on as well, her eyes closed and her head bobbing slightly to the music.
My lips quirked slightly to the side, as I return my eyes to the wet weather outside, praying for the rain to stop before we reach our destination.

Unfortunately, it was still raining as we pulled over to the curb of the road, the traffic getting busier by the second. I stepped out of the vehicle and opened my umbrella, shaking my head to clear off some rain that had drizzled onto my hair.
We had to walk to the stadium, seeing as cars weren’t allowed in further in. As we got closer to the stadium, we could clearly hear the loud, feverish shouts of crowd emitting from inside the stadium. Excitement bubbled in the pits of my stomach as I continue trudging uphill.

Lined up outside the entrance of the football stadium were various stalls selling food, beverages, battery-relaying glow sticks, and Justin Bieber merchandises. I shook my head politely and said “No thank you,” as two sales girls walked up to me, grinning widely, albeit being soaked to the skin, holding out two white Never Say Never Justin Bieber T-shirts.
My eyes roamed over the stalls curiously as I followed behind my sister. The air smelled of rain and fried food.
Tsara handed me my ticket and we went inside, dropping off our umbrella, (we weren’t allowed to bring in umbrellas, as ridiculous as it is) and walked down the steps, to the seats that were reserved for us. Already seated were Tsara's brothers.
I took a seat; thankful for the raincoat Tsara’s mom had given us earlier, and looked around me. The seats were starting to fill in, girl ‘Beliebers’ chanting ‘Justin Bieber’ again and again, waving and clapping their hands.
I huffed in annoyance and studied the stage instead. There were technical crews running importantly about the stage, testing the lights and sound system,  checking the lights and fog-machine.

(Still in working progress)
